Plan B By Pete Wilson
When I first got this book, I wasn't sure what it was about. So I opened it up quite tentatively. I was pleasantly surprised by this book, but an author I had not yet heard of!
The story is woven between Biblical happenings and modern day happenings. I love to see how my ordinary life can relate to what scripture is saying.
Not only is this a good book, but the Author, Pete Wilson, listened to God's calling early on in his life and started a church in his early 20's. Quite successful church I might add.
At that back there are thought and discussion guides for each chapter. This could be easily studied with a book club, or Bible STudy group. Would be fun to dig into the scripture references with a study Bible and read before and after each reference. I think reading this and discussing with these questions would be even more beneficial.
The book is set up into chapters and can be easily picked up and put down again. Which would give you time to reflect on each chapter and apply it to your life. I give this book a five star rating, and often refer to it with life situations. Our plan A verses God's plan B situations. It may not always be what we want or what is convenient, but learning and realizing that God knows best is a powerful lesson!
This is a journey of adoption, foster care...a journey of finding myself, healing from past hurts, and building a dream of helping others on their journey.
